The Billing Specialist will support the Accounting & Finance Department by performing accounting functions related to client billings and systems administration.
Job Responsibilities

- Prepare client invoices with appropriate supporting documentation.
- Finalize and distribute statements to owners after approval of the Project Manager.
- Review owner contracts to ensure billing compliance.
- Initiate new job setup in various accounting systems.
- Draft journal entries for job cost transfers as needed.
- Audit project costs to ensure contract compliance.
- Complete budget imports from project management software to accounting ERP.
- Input change orders, job contract details from project management software to accounting ERP.
- Assist in ad hoc reporting (advanced knowledge of excel queries and pivot tables) for both internal and external customers.
- Assist accounts payable as needed.
Qualifications
- An individual must have a four-year college degree in Business with a major in accounting, 3 to 5 years' experience. Construction accounting preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented and strong follow-up skills.
- Self-motivated and passionate about delivering exceptional client service.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Procore, AIA, Timberline (Sage 300), Dropbox, and iOS devices as well as other cloud storage services.
