Choice Legal is looking for a Billing Specialist to join our team onsite in Tampa, FL.
The Billing Specialist’s role is to ensure accurate billing of invoices to our clients and carriers by following standard billing policies and procedures. Duties include billing of invoices in hardcopy form and electronic form using various billing software programs. Other functions include viewing client’s orders and supporting documentation to verify accuracy before processing of invoices.
The schedule is Monday to Friday, flexible between 8am to 7pm.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Bill invoices in a timely and accurate manner.
- Analyze invoices and client’s orders and/or supporting documentation for accuracy.
- Monitor emails for any critical orders or rushes and process in a timely manner.
- Report daily productivity to Supervisor.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Level II Only Functions
- Create and enter orders from Third Party invoice.
- Maintain spreadsheets and records for various projects as directed by Supervisor.
- Run and bill ADD report daily.
Level III Only Functions
- Assist Operation Support with re-billing of invoices.
- Process Zero Bill /Void forms from other offices.
- Train billers in advanced billing baskets.
- Provide assistance to other departments as needed pertaining to Billing.
- Monitor e-mails for Rush orders.
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Some college desirable but not required.
- Minimum of six months relevant experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have good understanding of basic billing procedures.
- Musty have understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Must be highly self-motivated and directed.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Must have good analytical skills and problem solving abilities.
- Must have ability to work overtime during certain periods of the month.
- Must be a qualified typist with a minimum of 45 wpm.
- Must have ability to bill invoices accurately with reasonable output. Must be able to shift into high gear while maintaining quality of work.
- Must be able to stay focused and concentrate under normal or heavy distractions.
- Ability to follow all company policies and procedures in effect at time of hire and as they may change or be added from time to time.
