This position is full time (40 hours / week), Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:30 am - 5:00 pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.
We offer paid on-the-job training. The hours of training will be 8:30 am - 5:00 pm CST from Monday - Friday. The first 2 days of training will be conducted onsite.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Interact with customers to gather support data to ensure invoice accuracy and also work through specific billing discrepancies
  • Provide input to policies, systems, methods and procedures for the effective management and control of the premium billing function
  • Educate customers regarding the availability of receiving invoices and remitting payments through online applications
  • Monitor outstanding balances and take appropriate actions to ensure clients pay as billed
  • Manage the preparation of invoices and complete reconciliation of billing with accounts receivables
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • Experience with computers and Windows based applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Ability to train onsite for the first 2 days in Quest Diagnostics, 501 East State Parkway, Schaumburg, IL, 60173
  • Ability to work any of our full time (40 hours / week), 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:30 am - 5:00 pm CST from Monday - Friday including the flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends based on business need

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1+ years of Customer Service Representative (CSR) experience OR 1+ years of experience in an office setting, call center setting, OR phone support role

Telecommuting Requirements:
  • Reside within commutable distance to the office at Quest Diagnostics, 501 East State Parkway, Schaumburg, IL, 60173
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Soft Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, with strong capacity to learn and understand a wide range of products and the varying benefit levels associated with each

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.98 - $32.12 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
