Smart Source is looking for a Billing Representative to join our team in West Palm Beach, Florida. Candidate must be willing to work on different tasks and help the billing department manager and other accounting staff members where needed. Must have good communication skills as this position will be required to work with clients and vendors as well as with employees at multiple locations. The candidate will touch upon many aspects of the back-office function.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily Customer Billing
- Vendor Invoice Posting
- Electronic Vendor Invoice Sorting
- Investigating PO / Vendor Invoice Differences
- Manage billing assignments and workload
- Meet billing deadlines and billing requests timelines
- Assist other billers with their billing assignments when they are out
HIGH LEVEL COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central is a must
- Experience conducting billing functions in a cost accounting environment; manufacturing or other purchase order driven environment preferred
- Four-year degree in accounting is preferred but not required
- Attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communications skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Collaborative management style with customer service representatives, project management representatives, Sales, Accounting, Business Operations and other departments
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
COMPENSATION:
- The company offers a great benefit package which includes medical, dental, vision and a 401k savings plan.
- Entry level: no business central experience only basic billing or accounting admin work experience $40-$45K
- Billing Specialist: accounting degree or 4 or more years experience in accounting, no business central experience $45K-$60K
- Billing Accountant: Accounting degree, 4 years experience in accounting AND business central experience $55K-$65K.
