Position Summary:
The Billing Operations Analyst will report to the Corporate Controller and support operational oversight of billing systems, processes, and procedures. You will have working knowledge of internal controls, and will be primarily responsible for developing processes to ensure complete and accurate pricing and packaging combinations are appropriately reviewed, approved, and captured. The Billing Operations Analyst role involves a mix of leadership and independent work. Success in this role will require effective communication and coordination with cross-functional stakeholders, such as Sales, Customer Success, Data Science, and Finance.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain key billing information required for accurate and timely invoicing.
- Lead the identification, assessment, and documentation of business requirements, processes, and workflows throughout the quote-to-cash process.
- Evaluate and streamline existing processes to improve efficiency and enhance the quality of billing data from which accurate invoices can be prepared.
- Work with stakeholders on the efficiency of our quote-to-cash tech stack and develop recommendations for enhancements or replacements.
- Assist with ad-hoc tasks as required.
Key/Technical Skills:
- Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in Excel, data analysis tools and techniques such as AWS Redshift or SQL, and other data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau).
- Understanding of effective data governance principals.
- Ability to learn quickly and understand complex business operations.
- Commitment to quality and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven abilities in project delivery, generating workflows, and process documentation.
Education and Experience:
- Post-secondary education in Business or related field (e.g., Finance, Computer Science, Data Science).
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in roles such as finance/accounting, internal audit, business analyst, or revenue/billings analyst.
- Experience with usage-based pricing models preferred.
- Experience in a high-growth environment or tech start-up is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with revenue recognition rules (ASC 606 or IFRS 15) is considered an asset.

Annual Salary
$75,000—$95,000 CAD
