We have an opportunity for a Billing Associate to join their team of staff.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

  • Produce accurate and timely invoices for patients, consultants, insurers and NHS organisations in accordance with contractual agreements and organisational policies.
  • Ensure invoices are processed correctly, applying agreed charging structures, tariffs and billing rules.
  • Review and verify billing information to ensure accuracy before invoices are issued.
  • Process invoice amendments, adjustments and credit notes where appropriate.
  • Monitor billing activities to ensure service level agreements and billing deadlines are consistently achieved.
  • Support accurate revenue recognition through timely and compliant billing processes.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Experience working in a finance, billing, accounts receivable, customer service or business services environment.
  • Experience working with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to manage queries professionally and effectively.
  • Good technology skills, including experience using financial systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
  • Ability to manage workload effectively, prioritise competing demands and meet deadlines.
  • Good numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience working within healthcare, private healthcare or NHS finance environments.
  • Knowledge of healthcare billing processes, NHS contracts or private medical insurance billing.
  • Experience using financial management or patient administration systems.
  • Understanding of invoice production, exception reporting and query resolution processes.
  • Knowledge of data protection, confidentiality and financial governance requirements.
  • Experience supporting process improvement or finance transformation initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including basic reporting and data analysis.
