Job Title: Billing and Authorizations Specialist

Job Type: Full-Time, Remote (US Hours: 9am-5pm EST)
Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing & Authorizations Coordinator to support our ABA services team. This role is responsible for ensuring that insurance authorizations, claims, and billing processes are managed efficiently to prevent disruptions in client services. The ideal candidate is responsible, proactive, and an effective communicator who can work closely with insurance providers, clients, and internal teams.
- Manage and track insurance authorizations, including new submissions, renewals, and expiring authorizations.
- Monitor the status of insurance claims and follow up with insurance companies to resolve delays, denials, or processing issues.
- Communicate with insurance representatives to ensure claims and authorizations are processed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of authorizations, claims, and billing activities.
- Generate and review reports related to billing and authorizations.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure uninterrupted client services.
- Identify and escalate billing or authorization concerns when necessary.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to insurance verification and revenue cycle management.
Requirements
- Previous experience in medical billing, insurance authorizations, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred.
- Experience working with ABA services or behavioral health billing is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with insurance providers, clients, and team members.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other basic Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow through on outstanding issues.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.
- Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
