The Role

We are seeking an experienced Billing Analyst to join our dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will have 4-5 years of experience focused on operational billing and possess a strong understanding of various billing models, including subscription-based revenue, transactional revenue, time & materials (T&M) revenue, and tiered revenue. This individual should be skilled in processing multiple invoice types, automating billing processes where possible, and working collaboratively with cross-functional teams. The ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment is essential.

What You'll Do:

  • Prepare and process invoices to ensure accurate and timely billing.
  • Review and analyze customer accounts to ensure transactions are billed accurately and timely.
  • Work closely with the billing team to execute billing-related tasks, including reviewing and reconciling billing data, verifying contracts, and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as sales, customer service, and finance to resolve billing inquiries and discrepancies.
  • Ensure that billing systems and processes are optimized and efficient, identifying opportunities for process automation and streamlining workflows.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly/mid-monthly, quarterly, and annual billing reports and provide analysis to help drive decisions.
  • Manage adjustments, credits, and rebills as needed to ensure customer satisfaction and accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of billing policies, practices, and relevant tax regulations.
  • Perform special billing projects and analysis as needed to support the accounting and GTM teams.
  • Field various inquiries within the Billing team inbox from internal stakeholders.

What You'll Bring:

  • 4-5 years of experience in billing or a similar operational finance role, with a focus on operational billing.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to reconcile discrepancies and identify trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience automating or improving billing processes to increase efficiency and accuracy is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with both internal teams and customers.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Requires proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.

The expected base salary range for this position is $68,000 - $85,000 annually.
Compensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for extra incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses. Further details will be provided by our Talent Acquisition team during the interview process.
