About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Bilingual Site Engineer who is fluent in both English and French to join our client team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and managing construction site activities, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, while coordinating effectively with all stakeholders. This role requires flexibility to relocate and work in a Francophone country.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise and coordinate daily site activities, subcontractors, and workers.
• Lead, motivate, and monitor the site workforce to ensure high productivity.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and company procedures.
• Develop, track, and maintain project schedules, provide regular progress reports to management.
• Oversee the procurement, delivery, and use of site materials and equipment.
• Liaise effectively with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
• Resolve site-related challenges promptly and escalate issues where necessary.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree/HND in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3 – 5 years of proven experience in site supervision/management within civil engineering or construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and relevant legal regulations.
• Hands-on experience in site material procurement.
• Must possess a valid visa and be open to relocating/working in a Francophone country.
• Fluency in both French and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Benefits
Net Salary: USD 500 – USD 750
(may be reviewed upward after probation based on performance).
Travel Allowance:
o Option 1: 1 economy class ticket quarterly for the employee to visit family in Nigeria; or
o Option 2: 2 economy class tickets per annum for wife and a maximum of 2 children (below age 18) to visit Gabon; or
o Option 3: 2 economy class tickets to Nigeria for the employee and 1 set of economy class tickets for wife and 2 children (below age 18) per annum.
o Tickets may be monetized at Management’s discretion.
Skills Required
