What You’ll Do:
The Procurement Manager will be an integral part of a mission driven global procurement team that negotiates Software, SaaS, Professional Services, and various other types of commercial/contractual Agreements that are critical to the global operations of First Advantage. This is a high-visibility, hands-on, individual contributor role for a seasoned procurement professional who thrives in a fast paced, collaborative environment. The individual selected will have significant experience driving cost savings through negotiations with suppliers, possess a deep understanding of common contractual clauses found in Technology/Non-Technology Agreements, and have experience redlining/crafting contract language in partnership with the legal team. Executive level communication skills (written and verbal) are required in English.
This role is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned leader to play a hands-on role in further maturing the procurement organization to support the growth of the company. Please note, this is a remote position with core hours in EST.
General Responsibilities:
Contract and Negotiations:
  • Lead basic negotiations on products and services (Software and SaaS) to support business needs with a focus on total cost of ownership in support of company initiatives
  • Build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, facilitating basic business conversations
  • Provide feedback to stakeholder business case to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Show understanding of contractual terms and conditions contained in an MSA, SOW, Order, etc. and ability to redline
  • Ability to provide internal and external stakeholders with a procurement perspective on the overall engagement
  • Ability to conduct analysis on quotations, supplier performance, etc.
  • Coach/mentor junior team members
Category Management and Internal Stakeholder Engagement:
  1. Partner with internal stakeholders to help develop and execute strategies that support the financial and growth objectives of the company.
  2. Take ownership and serve as the procurement subject matter expert for assigned body of work.
  3. Provide exceptional customer service through quality and timely completion of all assigned work.

What You’ll Need to be Successful:
Potential candidates may come from a background in Sales, Procurement, etc.
Education: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, information technology, or finance. A master’s degree strongly preferred.
Required Job Qualifications:
  • Significant experience leading complex commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers of Technology and Non-Technology products/services, including, but not limited to Order Forms, Master Agreements, Statements of Work and Amendments, including critical and/or high value engagements.
  • Thrive in situations that may be ambiguous; An out-of-the box, creative thinker.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned workload based on changing business requirements.
  • Demonstrate significant expertise in procurement, including identifying total cost of ownership, and savings opportunities while minimizing risk and maximizing business flexibility.
  • Ability to create and deliver training on various procurement topics (contracting, negotiation, etc.)
  • Ability to develop relationships quickly, and tactfully influence cross-functionally.
  • Executive communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience serving as a mentor and point of escalation to junior members of the team.
  • Experience contributing and/or lead process improvement engagements.
