Summary

HR professional who supports a wide range of human resources duties including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, performance management, and benefits administration for our diverse workforce. The role requires strong communication, cultural sensitivity, and knowledge of HR policies and labor laws to effectively support all employees and foster an inclusive workplace.

Responsibilities 

  • Translate and interpret HR documents, policies, and conversations to ensure all employees understand their rights, responsibilities, and available resources.
  • Support and participate in the full-cycle recruitment and onboarding process in both English and Spanish. Key responsibilities include posting job ads, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, organizing job fairs, and facilitating a seamless onboarding experience for all new hires.
  • Serve as a resource for employees, addressing their concerns, coaching them on performance and resolving workplace conflicts.
  • Provide support and guidance to employees regarding benefits, process claims, and maintain accurate employee records in HRIS.
  • Provide all general clerical support; coordinates all travel plans that includes (flight, hotel, per[1]diem, maintain calendar and complete expense reports)
  • Maintaining payroll system by updating, entering data and completing payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Ensuring background and reference checks are completed.
  • Conduct, coordinate, and track employee training sessions, communicate with managers to ensure completion.
  • Assist in develop of programs to meet business needs and support talent management initiatives.
  • Identifying skill gaps through needs analyses, sourcing external training providers, and evaluating program effectiveness to improve employee skills and productivity.
  • Implementing initiatives and programs to enhance employee engagement and contribute to a healthy and productive workplace.
  • Maintaining accurate employee time and attendance records in HRIS, timely communication with management and payroll for any adjustments.
  • Maintaining payroll system and completing payroll bi-weekly along with compiling requested reports.
  • Managing driver compliance and policy records.
  • Additional responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

  • Mastery of English and Spanish is a fundamental requirement.
  • Strong communication and ability to build trust and positive relationships with employees/management.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing recruitment needs.
  • Meticulous attention to detail for managing records, analyzing HR data, and supporting various HR projects.
  • Self-motivated and proactive approach to managing tasks and resolving issues.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems (preferably ADP)

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-5 years experience in an HR support role.
  • 1 year ADP payroll experience, required.
  • 2+ years 401k/benefits administrator experience, required.
  • Experienced in performing a variety of HR functions, including recruitment, benefits administration and employee relations.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and HR policies.

Our Custom Alloy division in High Bridge, NJ, specializes in manufacturing high-quality seamless and welded pipe and tube solutions, as well as custom fabrications for critical applications. We serve government and commercial clients. For government, we work on military and defense contracts requiring precision and reliability. For commercial clients, we provide custom-engineered solutions across various industries. This dual focus allows us to take on diverse, high-pressure projects. Unlike mass production facilities, we create large, custom fittings tailored to specific needs. Our plant features large machines for heavy-duty work in a traditional manufacturing environment. Skills Required

  • Mastery of English and Spanish
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field, or equivalent education and experience

  • At least 1 year of ADP payroll experience
