Description
Role: Serves a multi-skilled role involving assisting Mortgage Loan Officers.
Job Type: Full-time, on-site at our Empire Administrative office in St. Paul, MN
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Assign all incoming mortgage applications daily.
- Follow-up on pre-approval pipeline for Loan Officers on a weekly basis
- Manage Mortgage Loan Officer’s prospect, pending and pre-purchase folders daily
- Assist Mortgage Loan Officer with purchase agreement review
- Manage Mortgage Sales referrals and assign to appropriate employee.
- Manage the incoming and outgoing daily mail for Loan Officers
- Scan and upload incoming docs from members to Encompass.
- Manage all incoming faxes and emails for Mortgage Sales.
Other Duties
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control

Requirements
Experience/Education/Certifications/Licenses
- Minimum high School degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 2-3 years similar or related financial experience.
- Required to obtain or possess a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) qualifier (i.e. NMLS).
- Bilingual in English and Hmong or Karen
Demonstrated Knowledge
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer skills including Microsoft products.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of Encompass a plus.
Communication Skills
Ability to proactively respond to members/employees to problem solve based on guidelines; written communications are based on templates but can be modified.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit and stand; answer calls; operate computer; interact with internal employees and members on the phone; travel to designated offices; lift up to 20 lbs.

The starting salary range for this position is: $28.56-$32.50/hour. This range reflects the base starting salary for this position. We have other benefits associated with this position which include: low-cost medical (as low as $20 a paycheck), dental insurance, vision insurance, quarterly bonuses, generous vacation and sick time hours, paid leave options, up to 6% 401k contribution, and tuition reimbursement.
