Job Description

We’re looking for a talented individual to…

Serve as the operational backbone of our communications team as a Bilingual Communications Specialist. This tactical, hands-on role keeps communications accurate, consistent, and on schedule. You’ll manage calendars, newsletters, and our communications platforms, and act as the cultural reviewer for French content as we grow our presence in Quebec. It is an individual contributor role for someone organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.

The successful candidate will be located in Ontario or Quebec.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Act as “air traffic control” for the communications team, keeping projects and deadlines on track.
  • Manage the communications calendar and coordinate day-to-day communications activities across departments.
  • Work with Marketing on cross-functional projects, confirming that deliverables are completed on time.
  • Administer ContactMonkey, including content and distribution for the twice-monthly employee newsletter and the manager newsletter.
  • Administer SharePoint and the intranet, making timely updates so content stays current and accurate.
  • Draft, edit, and distribute internal communications such as company-wide emails and employee announcements.
  • Review French content, including AI-assisted translations, as a second reader to confirm it fits how Quebec audiences communicate.
  • Manage our Glassdoor presence, including drafting responses to reviews.
  • Track communications analytics and prepare monthly channel reports.
  • Ensure all communications follow AP Style, brand standards, and editorial guidelines.

What you bring:

  • Bilingual in English and French (required).
  • Postsecondary education in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3 years of experience in corporate communications, employee communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French.
  • Experience writing and editing with AP Style.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365, including PowerPoint and SharePoint.
  • Experience with ContactMonkey and Asana is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail, proofreading, and quality control skills.
  • Cultural awareness of Quebec communication norms, with experience reviewing or adapting content for French-speaking audiences.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A proactive, self-directed approach with strong follow-through and little need for supervision.
  • Exceptional integrity and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Targeted Compensation:

$35-$37/h (equivalent to approximately $72,800-$76,960 annually based on a 40-hour work week)
