Company Description: The Tax Help program at Foundation Communities is seeking a team of enthusiastic, motivated individuals who can help us provide high-quality tax return preparation at our tax sites during the 2027 tax filing season. Position Description: The Bilingual Client Support Specialist position responds to client inquiries via telephone and email. Client support specialists work either at Prosper Center South (2900 S I-35 Frontage Rd, Austin, TX 78704) or at Prosper Center North (601 W Braker Ln, Austin, TX 78753). Our seasonal jobs offer flexible schedules: full-time and part-time including weekdays, evenings, and weekends. This is a great opportunity for people looking for temporary work, a second job, or an entry-level position into a dynamic non-profit organization. Temporary Position: December 2026 – April 2027.
Primary Duties/ Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality customer service for clients calling in with questions
- Capture detailed notes for each client case and collect information as necessary to resolve issues
- Schedule appointments for clients
- Transfer calls to other Tax Help program departments as needed
- Protect client confidentiality
- Complete all specified paid training and tax certifications (No previous experience is required, and support is provided throughout the training period)
Minimum Requirements
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with technology and knowledge of computer operations and software
- Written and verbal proficiently in English and Spanish
Physical Requirements
Requires sitting or standing at a desk for long periods of time indoors. Eye and hand coordination for viewing of monitor screen along with high volume of keyboard use.
Compensation
$20.00/hour
