Compensation: This is a nonexempt position, with an annual salary range of $50K-$60K.
Are you a talented Digital Designer fluent in both Chinese and English, with a passion for creating cutting-edge visual experiences? Universal Processing is seeking a dynamic, bilingual Digital Designer to lead our design initiatives and elevate our brand presence in the fast-paced fintech industry.
Role Summary: The Digital Designer role is a fully onsite position 5 days a week.
As our Digital Designer, you'll use your bilingual skills and design expertise to shape Universal Processing's visual identity, working closely with our Senior Marketing Project Manager and VP of Business Development. This role requires seamless communication in both Chinese and English to:
- Design compelling digital assets that resonate with diverse target audiences.
- Develop innovative visual strategies that enhance user experience across multiple markets.
- Lead cross-functional, multilingual teams in executing impactful design projects both internally and externally.
- Analyze design trends and user insights across Chinese and English-speaking markets.
- Shape the future of fintech design in a globally connected industry.
What You'll Do:
- Spearhead the creation and evolution of the Universal Processing visual brand for both Chinese and English-speaking markets.
- Craft data-driven design solutions that span digital, social, web, and mobile channels in all languages represented at Universal Processing.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities through design excellence.
- Design impactful email marketing campaigns that drive engagement and conversions across multilingual audiences.
- Enhance and maintain brand guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all marketing channels, adapting them to resonate with diverse markets.
- Continuously improve design standards by staying updated on the latest industry trends and incorporating them into our brand's visual identity.
Qualifications:
- Must be authorized to work in the US at the time of hire. We are an E-Verify employer!
- Fluency in both Chinese and English (written and spoken) is absolutely essential.
- 3-5 years experience and a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, advertising, marketing, or related discipline.
- Proven understanding of graphic design fundamentals and best practices, including typography and color palette knowledge.
- Must be willing to work in a small, entrepreneurial environment.
- Must be able to take the initiative in all aspects of the job and be comfortable working both independently and in team environments.
- Must be comfortable working in a project-based, deadline-driven environment.
- Proven ability to develop innovative, engaging digital designs for diverse audiences.
- Competent skills in audio and video editing, motion graphics, animation, retouching, and/or illustration.
- Experience leading design processes and cross-functional, multilingual teams.
- An understanding of how to create ads meant to drive conversions.
- Detail-oriented, focused on efficiency and quality, and adept at collaboration in a fast-paced team environment- must be able to work on various projects in a parallel fashion.
- Strong communication skills and a talent for visual storytelling in both Chinese and English.
- Interest in emerging, high-growth industries like payments, fintech, and software.
Bonus Points:
- Experience in Wordpress.
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and PHP.
- A track record of successful design projects or rebranding initiatives in multiple languages.
