Wider Circle is a Silicon Valley healthcare start-up that engages with members of the community to learn how to maintain and improve their health, and outlook on life. Wider Circle is seeking to hire Canvassers to help our members navigate their health plan, make friends and boost a sense of purpose to engage more joyfully in life.
This individual will have a unique opportunity to work daily with a team of passionate people that focus on the health of their communities. Success requires being a tenacious relationship builder. Successful associates connect and engage with members in person and cultivate meaningful relationships in our communities. Responsibilities
- Meet members at their home to welcome them and introduce our program
- Discuss the incentives to enrolling with ECM services. Have knowledge about what ECM and CalAIM services are.
- Facilitate the Wider Circle Connect For Life program of activities featuring trust building, health promotion and movement
- Engage our members primarily in person and follow up via phone and motivate them to attend meetings in their community
- Recruit additional members to join their neighbors in the Connect For Life Program
- Act as a liaison to members and the health plan
- Create partnerships with local community-based organizations to bring additional services to our members attention
- A good listener
- Bilingual: English and Spanish
- A connector of people
- Demonstrated empathy and compassion in working with others
- Dynamic and engaging prefer to build relationships rather than to instruct
- Has reliable transportation and is able to navigate to member's home
- Able to use Applications and Software
- Comfortable being a remote worker and Self Driven
- Experience in community and organizing events
- Experience in and comfort with speaking one-on-one
- Excellent oral and written communication is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage details effectively
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous work experience as a Canvasser preferred
- Experience working with SDOH and low-income communities preferred
- Sales experience preferable
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to sell ideas or products and sway opinions
- Ability to work after-hours and on weekends
- Ability to travel extensively
- Ability to work outdoors.

Wider Circle works with health plans nationally to deliver a unique community care program that connects and unites vulnerable populations for better health. Centered around trusted relationships and through its technology platform, Wider Circle connects health plan members with familiar neighbors to inform, support and motivate one another, empowering them to be more proactive about their health. Using trained and culturally competent facilitators to engage members in a trusted delivery network, Wider Circle’s community care model has proven to reduce hospitalizations, drive better health outcomes, and lessen social isolation.
COVID-19: In partnership with community sponsors and health plans, Wider Circle offers its unique neighborhood care programs to more than 320 communities nationwide, including specialized initiatives for vulnerable populations in isolation via virtual programming and peer-to-peer community support.
