Job Description
Bike Sourcing, Asia
Reports to the Bike Sourcing Manager.
Position Summary
Bike Sourcing is responsible for delivering the most awesome bikes for the company. The candidate will be responsible for Spec Communication with bike factories, On Time production of all models and competitive costing for our global bikes. Additionally, Bike Sourcing is responsible for frame sets that ship to our US and Germany factories as well as Service / Warranty frames. And finally, the energetic candidate will provide awesome service to internal and external customers.
Responsibilities:
- Manage Specification (Spec) through lifecycle of the bike or frame set on time.
- Spec Review Accurately - No errors / all problems solved before release.
- Create and implement Engineering Change Orders according to timelines.
- Deliver 90% of ALL bikes on time.
- Manage Long Lead Time parts with bike factories to ensure startup on time.
- Negotiate bike and frame pricing to meet or exceed targets.
- Knows costing inside out, driven to remove all extra costs, great negotiation, driven to exceed expectations.
- Sets aggressive goals / targets.
- High sense of urgency to meet or exceed objectives.
- Shares best practices with team. Promotes team environment.
- Provides unreasonable hospitality to internal and external customers.
Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree and a passion for bicycles a must!
- Experience with cross functional international group.
- Advanced systems skills and working knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel.
- Must have excellent presentation and communication skills
