We’re seeking an experienced Big Data Engineer to join our team and help us with development, optimization, and maintenance of our Big Data systems. You’ll tackle challenges such as managing terabytes of data on distributed storage like Impala, Scylla, and Hive; working with messaging systems like Apache Kafka; querying data using SQL or in-house alternatives; and processing data in parallel using tools such as Apache Spark.
In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain scalable data workflows and pipelines that power our data-driven decisions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the efficient handling and transformation of massive datasets.
What We’re Looking For:
While you don’t need to have mastered everything listed below, we’re seeking a professional with the following skills and experience:
Proficiency in Python and Java programming (experience with C/C++ is also a plus).
Understanding of the Linux operating system.
Hands-on experience with distributed storage systems such as HDFS, Hive, or Impala.
Expertise with Apache Kafka and its role in messaging and streaming systems.
Solid understanding of NoSQL database such as ScyllaDB
Knowledge of MapReduce concepts and frameworks.
Familiarity with Jenkins for CI/CD pipelines and automation.
Experience with version control systems like Git.

Basic wage component (brutto): from 3500 EUR
* The final basic wage component can be increased accordingly to individual skills and experience of the selected candidate.
* Performance bonus 2 times per year up to 10% of the basic salary paid for the evaluation period(usually 6 months).
