Job Description

 

  • Lead an effective bid team, identify and brief contributors from across the business and manage, motivate and support them throughout the programme.
  • Oversee reviews of the quality and commercial content and legal compliance.
  • Drive the process to research the client’s aspirations and share this knowledge and intelligence with the team.
  • Support the all business line leaders to compete planning and go/no-go meetings for key bids, convert opportunities to bids, develop pursuit plans, assist in developing and monitoring bid schedules.
  • Contribute to winning bid strategies, providing insight from previous winning proposals and share useful re-usable content with the pursuit teams.
  • Coordinate proposal responses, working closely with technical team leaders and marketing team.
  • Develop the requirements for each bid in a clear and understandable way.
  • Manage and maintain version control for bid documents and issue them to the appropriate functions for response/review/signature in line with the bid programme.
  • Support the business lines to drive professionalism and efficiency in the team and on the bids on which they work.
  • Active management of update of CVs (including thumbnail staff images)
  • Active management of the projects pipeline to ensure opportunities are recorded, pursued and maximised to support fee conversion and monthly sources of revenue analysis.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in bid management in similar market sectors/industry, with evidence of leading significant/strategic bids
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with experience of managing multi-disciplinary proposals of a high strategic value.
  • A sound working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and Adobe InDesign.
  • A flexible, but methodical approach to supporting bidding activities across all business lines
  • The ability to work professionally and collaboratively and build credibility with colleagues at all levels within the business
  • The ability to work collaboratively with internal clients and to tactfully, but effectively pursue others for contributions as needed.
  • The ability to work positively under pressure and deliver quality output to deadlines, inspiring team members to work effectively within the bid team.
  • An experienced and efficient multi-tasker.
