Bid Writer
Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: Mon-Fri 09:00-17:00. Hybrid - Minimum of two days every two weeks in the office (plus additional office time during larger projects)
Location: Pyramid Close, Weston Favell, Northampton, NN3 8PD
Position Summary
As a Bid Writer, you will produce high-quality, compelling bid proposals that effectively communicate our value proposition to potential clients in the Cleaning and Hygiene industry (both Private and Public Sector). The successful candidate will be responsible for working with key stakeholders to gather the necessary information, research customer profiles, ensure that every bid is tailored to meet the specific requirements of each customer, and upload and coordinate responses to bids via portals used.
Key Responsibilities
Tenders
Write, edit and proofread bid submissions for contracts.
Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and insights for bid submissions.
Ensure all bids are compliant with client requirements and industry standards.
Conduct research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
Questionnaires
Complete company compliance questionnaires, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
Ensure our response to the questionnaires are compliant with all applicable industry regulations and company policies.
Ensure all questionnaires are formatted, proofread, meet company standards and signed by the Directors before submission.
Data Management
Manage a high-volume inbox, ensuring responses to queries, certification requests and questionnaire submissions are completed on time and in full.
Manage customer portals, ensuring all company information is kept up to date.
Maintain accurate tender and questionnaire information libraries, templates and standard responses.
Maintain database logs and records to enable data analytics.
Monitor dedicated opportunities software such as Contracts Advance.
Experience, Knowledge & Skills
Proven experience within a Tendering role (Essential).
Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and persuasive content.
Excellent organisational and time management skills with ability to work under own initiative.
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
