About the role: 

As a Bid Writer, you will support Cushman & Wakefield’s New Zealand business by producing high-quality proposals, tenders, case studies, capability statements and presentations to win new and retain existing Integrated Facilities Management opportunities. You will be responsible for developing clear, concise, and compelling customer-focused content for various pre-bid opportunities, expressions of interest, requests for information, and requests for proposal. This includes tailoring baseline content from our service book library and creating bespoke content with input from subject matter experts and other key stakeholders. You will ensure that all content aligns with the client-specific ‘win strategy’ and may also assist with bids in other areas of the business.

  • Develop content for pre-bid opportunities, expressions of interest, requests for information, and requests for proposal.

  • Coordinate input from stakeholders, write, proofread, and finalise submissions.

  • Ensure high-quality content that answers client questions accurately and logically.

  • Participate in bid strategy workshops and lead smaller opportunities.

  • Review bid documentation, understand requirements and deadlines, and raise potential issues.

  • Contribute to the development of bid plans, strategies, win themes, and client driver analysis.

  • Undertake proposal-specific research and ensure alignment with client’s business.

  • Arrange lodgement of submissions as per client instructions.

  • Support Integrated Facilities Management Teams through preparation and maintenance of case studies, client summaries, capability statements, and bid content library.

  • Provide New Zealand-specific updates to the website and support internal and external client-related marketing events.

  • Contribute to the development of social media posts and marketing material for the New Zealand business.

About you:

  • Tertiary degree preferred.

  • Sound understanding of the bid process.

  • Relevant work experience in Facilities Management, Workplace Services, Portfolio Management, and/or Project & Development Services.

  • Commercial acumen and strong literacy skills.

  • Strong project management, coordination, and time management skills.

  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate with people at all levels.

  • Strong customer-focused language and ability to understand benefits selling.

  • Strong listening skills to accurately input information into bid responses.

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint), including working with styles and templates.
