As a Government Bid Manager at monday.com, you will play a crucial role in building, managing and refining monday.com’s Government proposal and tender processes. The goal of this program is to secure government business opportunities, contracts and to increase the profile of monday.com. 

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build, manage, refine and run government BID opportunities. The role will leverage government bid management expertise which will result in successful preparation, submission, follow-up and analysis of government Request for Proposals (RFPs), tenders, and other competitive government bidding opportunities. 

This role demands strategic thinking, exceptional communication skills, and a deep understanding of the technology sector.

Please note that this is a hybrid position, requiring 3 days/week in our NYC office.


About The Role:

  • Assist in the assessment, vetting, development and management of the end-to-end government RFP and tender opportunities, responses, and processes to ensure timely and accurate funnel creation, submissions and management.
  • Analyze government RFP requirements and develop a response strategy, collaborating with relevant teams to tailor responses to client needs.
  • Liaise with various departments (e.g., sales, product development, legal, finance) to gather essential information and input for the vetting, compilation, creation and refinement of the bid submissions, opportunities and processes.
  • Review, analyze fit, write, edit, and review proposal content to ensure accuracy, consistency, compliance, and alignment with the bid strategy.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and quality checks to build and manage a robust bid pipeline, ensure bid responses meet and exceed all procurement requirements and adhere to company standards and guidelines.
  • Manage a pipeline and multiple bid proposals, reviews, revisions, and iterations to enhance overall quality and competitiveness.
  • Develop strategies for successful bidding, including business impact, pain relief, opportunity attainment, pricing strategies, risk assessments, and additional win themes.
  • Analyze the outcomes of government tenders and proposals to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement while taking an accounting of product and other reasons for non-bids and / or lost opportunities.
  • Maintain a centralized repository of:
  • proposal templates, 
  • boilerplate content, 
  • past responses, and
  • additional collateral (e.g., security questionnaire answers) 
  • Manage the pipeline of pending government bid opportunities to ensure to drive them from opportunity identification, through issue resolution, to submission

Requirements

  • 4+ years of proven experience in government proposal/tender management within the tech industry, the Big Four and across SAAS Companies.
  • 2+ years experience with US SLED
  • Strong understanding of the high-tech market, products, and services.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an emphasis on persuasive and professional writing.
  • Experience with transformation programs including people, process, data and technology target operating model design, execution and management. 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and proposal management tools.
  • Knowledge of relevant proposal management methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with government procurement processes and frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CRM and proposal automation tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.

For New York City-based hires only: Compensation Range: $125,000-$145,000 base salary, subject to standard withholding and applicable taxes. In addition to base salary, the role includes opportunity to receive and/or earn a discretionary bonus and/or equity based on Company’s plans and in accordance with Company’s policies. Compensation finally awarded to the candidate will be commensurate with the candidate’s skills and experience. Compensation ranges for candidates in locations outside of New York City may differ based on the cost of labor and such additional factors for such other locations.
