Under the direction of the Manager of Bids and Customer Support, this position processes and completes Books and Supplies bids and quotes for the department.
- Process and complete bids and quotes as directed by the Bid Supervisor with accountability for accuracy and timely delivery of bids, performing customer follow up, and entering quotes on the system.
- Support the bid process by providing assistance with tabulation requests, searching the internet for bid opportunities and other special projects as assigned.
- Book bids require additional collaboration with internal personnel along with competency in all Books products and services.
- Stay informed of changes in Books and Supplies product offerings and attend product training when available.
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent.
- PC proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Internet.
- Ability to work with numbers with accuracy and attention to detail for both Books and Supplies bids and quotes; The complexity of Book bids typically require in depth research and labor intensive responses.
- Ability to prioritize and follow-through on multiple tasks with demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Office environment
- This position is subject to scheduled overtime which may be required based on departmental needs.
