Job Description

We are searching for a dynamic and skilled BI Operations Engineer to join our growing team. This role is perfect for a candidate who values diversity, inclusion, and equality, and is eager to embrace a collaborative DevOps culture. You will be responsible for building and supporting critical products at scale, while fostering innovation and contributing to our engineering-driven environment. Role is remote. 

In this role, you will be tasked with developing and maintaining technical solutions that empower other engineering, data, and business teams. These solutions will cover areas such as data streaming, computing, storage, data visualization, and business automation.

You’ll work in an agile environment, balancing new feature development with resolving bugs and supporting users. Your responsibilities will include automating infrastructure, ensuring reliability at scale, writing documentation, and providing technical support through tutorials and user guidance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to maintain and troubleshoot BI and data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, and IBM Cognos Analytics.
  • Work closely with AWS infrastructure teams on Windows and operating system patching, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Analyze data and logs from system databases to develop data pipelines and dashboards that ensure platforms are running optimally.
  • Automate maintenance processes, streamline on-/off-boarding of users, and upgrade platforms to meet the latest features, security, and performance standards.
  • Support day-to-day operational activities to ensure service continuity.
  • Collaborate with global platform admins to align on automation, onboarding processes, and configurations.
  • Gather requirements from end users, assist with platform migrations, and convert existing reports and dashboards.
  • Lead workshops, knowledge transfer sessions, and participate in Communities of Practice to share best practices with users.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience with Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Alteryx, IBM Cognos Analytics).
  • Strong skills in maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading services, networks, and platform processes.
  • Experience collaborating with AWS infrastructure teams on system patching and upgrades.
  • A solid understanding of data extraction and analysis to build efficient data pipelines and dashboards.
  • Experience automating processes and supporting operational teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to engage with end users for requirement gathering and support during platform migrations.
  • Passion for enabling and educating users through workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions.
