Position Summary:
The Developer role is responsible for developing and maintaining business intelligence, analytics, and data solutions that enable data-driven decision-making across AIG Finance and Commercial Analytics.
This role combines strong Power BI development capabilities with data engineering and analytics expertise to deliver scalable reporting solutions, automate data processes, and provide actionable insights to business stakeholders. The position supports strategic initiatives across Order-to-Cash, Revenue Commitment, Commercial Analytics, Forecasting, Pricing, and other Finance-related workstreams.
The successful candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, analysts, data engineers, and project leaders to transform complex business requirements into robust reporting, analytics, and data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Business Intelligence & Reporting
• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports supporting Finance and Commercial Analytics initiatives.
• Develop semantic models, datasets, and reusable reporting assets to improve consistency and scalability.
• Create intuitive visualizations that communicate business performance, trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Optimize report performance and usability through data modeling, DAX development, and dashboard design best practices.
• Support user acceptance testing, deployment, enhancement requests, and ongoing production support.
Data Engineering & Data Management
• Develop and maintain SQL-based data pipelines, transformations, and reporting tables.
• Support data integration activities across multiple enterprise systems and data sources.
• Design and maintain scalable datasets that support analytical and reporting requirements.
• Assist with data quality monitoring, validation, and issue resolution.
• Develop and maintain documentation for data structures, transformations, and reporting logic.
• Partner with IT and analytics teams to improve data reliability, refresh performance, and automation.
Analytics & Business Support
• Support forecasting, revenue analysis, pricing analytics, and commercial performance reporting.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop automated reporting processes that reduce manual effort and improve decision-making speed.
• Support scenario analysis, trend identification, and business performance monitoring.
• Assist in identifying opportunities to leverage AI-enabled tools and advanced analytics techniques to improve efficiency and insight generation.
Stakeholder Collaboration
• Partner with Finance, Commercial, Operations, and Analytics stakeholders to understand business needs and priorities.
• Participate in project planning, requirements gathering, and solution design discussions.
• Provide technical support and knowledge transfer to business users and fellow team members.
• Collaborate with project managers and analytics leaders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
Continuous Improvement
• Apply PPI and continuous improvement principles to reporting, analytics, and data management processes.
• Identify opportunities to simplify workflows, automate recurring activities, and improve data accessibility.
• Support ongoing modernization of analytics platforms, reporting capabilities, and data architecture.
• Contribute to the adoption of AI and digital tools that improve productivity and business outcomes.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, or related field required.
• 3–5 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, reporting, or data engineering.
• Experience supporting Finance, Commercial Operations, Sales Operations, Revenue Management, or related business functions preferred.
Technical Skills
Business Intelligence
• Strong Power BI experience including:
· Data modeling
· DAX
· Power Query
· Dashboard development
· Report optimization
• Experience developing and maintaining semantic models and enterprise reporting solutions.
Data & Engineering
• Strong SQL skills with experience developing queries, stored procedures, and reporting datasets.
• Experience working with relational databases and data warehouse environments.
• Experience developing and supporting ETL processes.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Spark, or modern cloud-based analytics platforms preferred.
• Experience with Power Automate and reporting process automation is a plus.
Analytics
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience supporting forecasting, business performance analysis, or operational reporting.
• Ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within large datasets.
• Exposure to AI, machine learning, or generative AI technologies is preferred.
