Role Overview

Our global analytics team is looking for a Business BI Analyst to join our team to drive analytics. This position is located in Gurgaon, India and will be reporting to our Global BI & Data Manager.

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions that help our organisation make data-driven decisions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your role will involve creating and managing data warehouses, developing dashboards and reports, and ensuring data quality and integrity. You will also be responsible for optimising existing BI systems and conducting regular performance tuning to enhance overall system efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions using Microsoft technologies to support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand their requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and implement ETL processes using SSIS to integrate data from various sources into data warehouses.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports, providing actionable insights.
• Conduct data validation and ensure the accuracy and integrity of data.
• Optimize existing BI systems, perform regular maintenance, and conduct performance tuning.
• Provide technical support and training to end-users on Power BI and other Microsoft BI tools.
• Stay updated with the latest Microsoft BI technologies and industry trends.
• Proactively propose analytics improvements: Based on your understanding of our key data sources, cubes, data quality and reporting best practices - become a true business partner for the business, challenging and proposing alternative ways to fulfil the business needs for analytics as defined together with the team.
• Schedule and run regular workshops with business counterparties: Validating analytics, proactively gathering the needs of the business and keeping a close loop of feedback going.

Requirements

• Excellent SQL skills with experience across Microsoft SQL Server and associated BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau and the full Microsoft BI stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS).
• Familiarity with Azure data and analytics services, including Data Lake, Databricks and Azure Machine Learning, with the ability to apply advanced analytics where relevant.
• Strong attention to detail, structured and analytical thinking, and a commitment to delivering high‑quality, accurate data outputs.
• Clear communicator able to translate business needs into technical BI solutions — and present technical work back to the business effectively.
• Proactive and solution‑orientated, able to recommend alternative reporting approaches based on available data and business priorities.
• Effective at managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced, start‑up‑like environment requiring autonomy, drive and collaboration.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly and work effectively across multiple geographies or within a matrix organisation.
• Passion for understanding the business, tackling ambiguous problems, learning new technologies and delivering excellent service.
• Microsoft certifications (e.g., Data Analyst Associate, Azure Data Engineer Associate) and experience with BI project delivery in Microsoft environments are strong advantages.
