Position Summary

You start your day by attending the stand-up of your team, which includes developers, ensuring that testing processes are on track and identifying any potential quality risks. Depending on the day this is from home or at the office. Every other Friday we wrap up the sprint by attending a company-wide demo showcasing this sprint's achievements. During lunch that day, we celebrate the successful sprint with fries.

Post-lunch, you dive into two key tasks: Retrospective and (personal) improvement. This could involve helping other QA team members, refining testing strategies, exploring new testing tools, or addressing complex quality challenges. 

Your Role:

We're seeking a QA Engineer to join our innovative team. As a QA Engineer, you'll be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our products through meticulous testing and promoting best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.
  • Identify, document, and track defects, and work closely with the development team to ensure their resolution.
  • Support the growth and development of other QA team members.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure quality is built into the product from the ground up.
  • Promote best practices in testing, including code quality, performance testing, and security testing.
  • Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving testing processes, tools, and overall quality assurance.
  • Keep up to date with emerging testing technologies and industry trends, advocating for their adoption where appropriate.

Desired Skills & Experience

  •  Experience in quality assurance and testing.
  • Proficiency in manual and automated testing, with experience in tools like Cypress, REST Assured, or similar.
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to contribute to technical initiatives and influence decision-making.
  • Higher professional education (HBO) level of thinking and working. Having an HBO-level education is advantageous but not a requirement.
