Responsibilities
- Approve new or changed materials by applying PPAP and APQP standards during the new product launches
- Follow-up supplier APQP activities for smooth ramp-up
- Provide input in commodity strategy and follow and develop established procedures and best practices
- Evaluation of potential suppliers to make specific parts with proper equipment and quality processes
- Carry out new supplier validation audits, include technical reviews and assessments
- Lead supplier to meet established key performance indicators and milestones
- Establish supplier development programs at respective suppliers with the assigned commodity and follow up corrective actions and results of those programs.
- Lead cross functional problem solving activities at Supplier resulting in robust countermeasures
- Support Supplier Quality Engineers in 8D follow-up related to specific suppliers and commodities
- Contribute and ensure continuous improvement activities
- Define necessary actions for early production containment.
- Conduct Supplier Quality training at supplier to meet BW requirements
Requirements
- Degree in related discipline
- Fluent English both verbal and written
- min. 4-5 years of manufacturing or Engineering experience in automotive sector and in Supplier Quality area
- Proficiency OR experienced in Electrical main commodities (printed circuits, controls, installations)
- Strong training and or knowledge in one or more of the following areas; Kaizen, Six Sigma, Lean Deployment and Value
- Engineering/Value Analysis is Required
- Knowledge in manufacturing problem solving (8-D Methodology) and manufacturing processes is Required
- Knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements including APQP and PPAP is Required
- Knowledge of SPC is Required
