Partnering with the world’s top private equity firms and industry-leading Fortune 500 companies, Catalant delivers innovative solutions powered by AI and rooted in the kind of deep expertise and hands-on experience that drives real results.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized, process-driven Benefits & Compensation Specialist to fully own our benefits programs, leave of absence processes, and total compensation and rewards administration. This is a role for a systems-thinking administrator who brings experience blending comprehensive benefits compliance, deep fluency in the intricate state and federal laws governing leave administration, and thoughtful compensation program management - and who partners closely with our Payroll team in Finance to ensure accurate, timely payroll execution.

In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for employees navigating their benefits, pay, leave, and related company policies. As an HRIS power user, you will heavily leverage Rippling to manage data integrity, execute system configurations, process compensation changes, and build out clean, automated workflows.

The ideal candidate possesses an elite eye for detail, a passion for building clean documentation, and the unique ability to translate complex compliance regulations into clear, supportive guidance for our employees.

Our team values diversity in experience and backgrounds—we do our best work when we create space for different voices and perspectives. Whatever unique experiences or skill sets you bring, we look forward to learning from each other.

What you'll do:

Benefits Administration & Vendor Management

  • Manage routine benefits administration, including new hire enrollments, terminations, life event changes, and real-time data integrations within Rippling.

  • Serve as the primary liaison with our benefits broker (Sequoia) and key insurance vendors for insurance and 401(k) plans (such as Cigna, Guardian, Betterment, and Rippling) to resolve claims, manage invoices, and audit data.

  • Act as the empathetic, go-to resource for employee questions, troubleshooting coverage issues, and delivering clear explanations of complex plans.

  • Partner across the People and Finance teams to execute the annual Open Enrollment process, evaluate renewals, benchmark plans against industry trends, and drive communications.

Total Compensation and Rewards

  • Owns the company’s total compensation and rewards programs, including base pay structures, salary bands, and market benchmarking to ensure competitive, equitable pay practice.

  • Draft employee compensation change letters and execute pay, title, and job changes within Rippling, partnering closely with the Finance team to ensure such changes are reflected accurately and timely each pay cycle.

  • Manage annual and ad hoc compensation review cycles (e.g., merit, promotion, equity adjustments) in partnership with the Finance and People leadership, and support job architecture and leveling initiatives.

  • Administer retirement plan programs (e.g., 401k tracking) and other rewards offerings, coordinating closely with Finance on funding, reconciliation, and reporting.

Compliance, Leaves of Absence, & Tracking

  • Oversee the end-to-end administration and tracking of leaves of absence, including FMLA, Short-Term Disability, and state programs like MA PFML.

  • Ensure strict adherence to federal, state, and local requirements, including ACA, HIPAA, FMLA, and ADA regulations.

  • Generate regular reports and perform meticulous data audits across platforms to ensure flawless reporting accuracy.

  • Provide flexibility and organizational support for financial statement audits, year-end tasks, and evolving operational projects.

  • Assist and liaise with third-parties for payroll-related audits or inquiries.

Process Architecture & System Optimization

  • Act as the internal Rippling power user, driving the continued rollout, testing, system configuration, and integration of benefits, compensation, and payroll systems.

  • Design, build, and maintain clear, hyper-detailed internal process documents for benefits administration, compensation programs, and leave management.

  • Author training materials and reference guides to help employees and HR team members seamlessly navigate benefits options and protocols.

What you'll bring:
  • 4–6 years of dedicated experience in benefits administration and compensation or total rewards program management.

  • Advanced, administrative proficiency with modern HRIS platforms is required. Deep experience in Rippling preferred.

  • Robust working knowledge of health and welfare standards, state paid leave laws, retirement plan guidelines, compensation/pay equity regulations, and statutory benefits requirements.

  • An elite eye for data accuracy, quality, and rigorous self-auditing to catch errors before they impact employees or compliance.

  • A natural inclination toward structure and systems, with proven experience building out clean internal workflows, creating step-by-step documentation, and identifying opportunities to automate manual tasks.

  • Exceptional capability to take dense, legally complex compliance processes and seamlessly translate them into clear, simple, and supportive guidance for a varied audience.

  • A high level of discretion and an uncompromised commitment to handling confidential employee financial and medical data.

  • Familiarity with Carta or a similar equity management platform is a plus — this person may eventually take ownership of grant issuance, cap table accuracy, and employee equity communications.
