About the role .
As member of the Rewards team, this role assists in the analysis and administration of the benefits and work/life programs of McCain Foods. Role is located in Florenceville, NB.
What you'll be doing.
Plan Administration: Support the administration of employee benefit programs, including extended health & dental, life insurance, leaves, EFAP, wellness, and retirement plans. Provide day ‑ to ‑ day support for benefits programs and projects, including assistance with implementations, coordinating benefits ‑ related events and activities, and working with vendors and internal partners as required. Support the administration of third ‑ party vendors by assisting with system maintenance, call centre compliance, service monitoring, and identifying opportunities for process improvements.
Plan Analysis : Analyze and audit benefits data on a regular basis to assess eligibility, calculate benefits and premiums, track costs, and identify trends. Use benefits data to support internal partners, vendors, and plan members with inquiries, claims, and appeals. Assist with maintaining data integrity across multiple systems by identifying discrepancies and supporting corrective actions. Perform detailed analysis related to the pension plan, including reviewing contribution remittances for accuracy, maintaining records of contributions and deemed earnings for LTD members, and supporting year ‑ end activities in partnership with Payroll. Assist with pension governance activities.
Billing: Review and track benefit ‑ related invoices to ensure accurate and timely payment. Assist with data collection and reconciliation for the annual benefits budgeting process.
Communications: Assist in the preparation, review, and distribution of all benefits-related communications (printed and web).
Plan Compliance: Keep current on regulations in partnership with our benefits consulting team to ensure compliance with country and provincial laws.
  • Assist in the resolution of complex issues escalated through Service Centres and HR
  • Support NA Benefits Team with all daily and strategic benefits objectives for Canada.
  • Serve as backup for various functions within the Rewards Team
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes
  • Participate as project team member/lead on various projects

What you'll need to be successful.
  • 2+ years of Human Resources experience, with a focus on benefits and a strong understanding of Canadian benefits practices and regulations
  • Solid knowledge of benefits policies, programs, and applicable legislation
  • Experience working with HRIS and benefits administration systems
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong analytical capability
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
  • High attention to detail with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment and consistently meet deadlines with a sense of urgency
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
  • Experience managing third-party vendors is an asset

Compensation Package : $65,500.00 - $87,400.00 1 CAD annually + Bonus Eligibility
