About the Role
Are you looking to use your expert benefits knowledge in an industry that supports and protects explorers and heroes? We could use your expertise on our team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversight of the day-to-day administration of Sierra Space Benefits, Wellness, Retirement Plans, and Leave Administration
- Benefits and 401(k) employee communications
- Provide training and support to benefits team, direct annual benefit renewals, and the open enrollment process
- Provide oversight of the monthly benefit payments to providers/vendors, monthly reconciliation of all benefit-related general ledger accounts, addressing discrepancies between amounts owed/paid by employees
- Responsible for the benefits broker relationship, addressing areas of concern, and providing real-time feedback
- Coordinate benefits data management including internal and external sources. You will document and maintain administrative procedures for assigned benefit processes
- Responsible for benefit files, plan summaries, policies, annual ERISA updates, annual 401(k) plan notices, and posting plan information as well as important updates to Sierra Space's Benefits Connection page
- Resolve high-level employee questions and concerns by interpreting benefit policies and procedures and involvement with carriers when needed
- Work closely with our Benefit Brokers and Legal Counsel to make sure all plans and policies are in compliance with ongoing updates to the laws and regulations
- Support various projections such as coverage analysis, post-acquisition program integration, as well as other projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field of study and typically 4 - 6 years of experience
- Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews
- Background of working in a support function
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in HR, Benefits, and Retirement Plans
- Strong experience in Retirement and 401k plans
- Strong computer literacy with experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Knowledge of DoD, government contracting and/or public auditing, policies, standards, and procedures
- Experience with Workday HR management systems

Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
We also offer a generous benefit package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with 150% match up to 8%, life insurance, 3 weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
Estimated Starting Salary Range:
$120,552.10 - $165,759.14
