The Benefits Coordinator is responsible for day-to-day operational tasks related to administration of US health and welfare benefit plans. Under the direction of the Global Benefits Manager, Health and Welfare, the Benefits Coordinator ensures accurate benefit enroll-ments, timely processing of qualifying life events, and integrity of benefits data across sys-tems and vendors. The Benefits Coordinator also serves as the first point of contact for employee benefits inquiries.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Administer U.S. benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life, flexible spending and voluntary plans
- Process and validate benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Perform regular data audits and reconciliations between HRIS, payroll, and benefit vendor systems. Identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and implement corrections proactively
- Support system updates, file feeds, and integrations with benefits providers
- Manage Qualifying Life Event (QLE) requests, including documentation review, eligibility determination, and system updates
- Monitor and support new hire and open enrollment activities, including system configuration, testing, and data validation
- Review and reconcile monthly vendor invoices against enrollment data
- Partner with payroll and finance teams to ensure accurate premium deductions and employer contributions
- Resolve billing discrepancies with vendors in a timely manner
- Track and report on benefits-related expenses as needed
- Serve as the primary contact for US HR and US employees’ benefit inquiries
- Assist with ensuring compliance with applicable US laws and regulations (ERISA, ACA, COBRA, etc.)
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information at all times
- Identify opportunities to improve benefit administration processes and employee experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources or related field.
- One or more years of experience in Benefits Administration
- Experience with data auditing, reporting, and reconciliation
- Understanding of U.S. benefits programs and applicable regulations (e.g., ACA basics, COBRA fundamentals)
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data validation)
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Skills Required
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources or related field
- One or more years of experience in Benefits Administration
- Experience with data auditing, reporting, and reconciliation
- Understanding of U.S. benefits programs and applicable regulations (e.g., ACA basics, COBRA fundamentals)
