Key Responsibilities:
- Administers benefit and absence plans, including resolving issues, entering or updating information, reviewing and resolving reports, and assisting with enrollment processes
- Processes and distributes leave of absence documents regarding FMLA, employment status and any other leave of absence communication
- Communicates work restriction notifications to management and coordinates the interactive process when necessary
- Coordinates and partners with other areas as required
- Responds to complex telephone or written inquiries received from past and present Essentia Health employees
- Shares knowledge with and provides back-up and overflow telephone and email support to first level representatives
- Identifies opportunities to update or change the information knowledge base utilized by representatives and represents area of expertise on projects or initiatives
Education Requirement:
- Associate's degree plus 1 year of experience
- OR
- 3 years of experience in a customer service or human resources environment
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficient in HRIS systems and other relevant software, specifically Workday
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in benefits, leaves of absence, or human resources
