What You Will Do

As a key member of the HR team, you will help drive excellence across benefits strategy, operations, and employee support.

Benefits Administration & Employee Support

You will serve as a trusted resource for faculty and staff by:

  • Managing a broad portfolio of employee benefit programs including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, leave programs, workers' compensation, tuition remission, well-being initiatives, and more

  • Supporting employees through benefits questions and life events with empathy and exceptional service

  • Partnering with insurance carriers, vendors, consultants, and internal stakeholders to resolve complex issues

  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations and evolving benefits requirements

  • Serving as the primary contact for retirement plan audits and related documentation

Strategy & Program Design

You will contribute to improving and enhancing our programs by:

  • Researching market trends and emerging total rewards practices

  • Partnering with vendors and consultants to evaluate and enhance benefits offerings

  • Leading annual Open Enrollment logistics and communications

  • Creating educational sessions and delivering presentations for employees and new hire orientation

  • Developing materials and reports for HR leadership and committees

Analytics & Continuous Improvement

You will turn data into insight by:

  • Building and maintaining benefits reporting, dashboards, and program metrics

  • Analyzing utilization, cost trends, and plan performance

  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, employee experience, and program effectiveness

  • Auditing invoices, claims reporting, and benefits-related data

What Makes You Successful

You are curious, analytical, detail-oriented, and committed to helping employees navigate important moments in their lives. You can move comfortably between strategic conversations and operational execution.

We are looking for someone who brings:

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 3–5 years of benefits administration or HR experience

  • Strong knowledge of health and welfare plans including medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, FSA programs, and leave administration

  • Working knowledge of ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, Workers' Compensation, and Massachusetts leave regulations

  • Experience supporting leave of absence and workers’ compensation programs

  • Understanding of retirement plan administration and defined contribution plans

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to translate data into recommendations

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to build strong partnerships and work collaboratively across teams

  • Experience with Workday HCM preferred

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills required
