INTRODUCTION:
We are seeking a Benefits Analyst Contractor to support our HR and Total Rewards team with benefits administration, compliance, and process optimization. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Workday HCM (Benefits module), strong analytical skills, and the ability to deliver accurate and timely support for employee benefit programs. This is a contract position with the potential to extend based on business needs.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Benefits Administration
- Support day-to-day administration of health, wellness, retirement, and leave programs.
- Maintain employee records in Workday, ensuring accuracy in benefit elections, changes, and terminations.
- Audit Workday data regularly to ensure compliance and resolve discrepancies.
- Employee Support
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits-related inquiries.
- Provide guidance on eligibility, enrollment, coverage, and policy interpretation.
- Compliance & Reporting
- Assist with compliance activities including ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and other federal/state requirements.
- Generate, review, and distribute standard and ad hoc reports using Workday reporting tools.
- Partner with payroll to ensure benefit deductions and contributions are processed accurately.
- Vendor & Process Management
- Liaise with external benefit vendors for enrollments, billing, and issue resolution.
- Support open enrollment activities including system setup, testing, and employee communication.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend best practices to enhance efficiency.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in benefits administration or total rewards.
- Hands-on experience with Workday Benefits module [required].
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of benefits compliance requirements (ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, ERISA, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex benefits information clearly.
- Proficiency with Excel and HRIS systems.
AND IT’S GREAT TO HAVE:
- Experience with reporting and auditing in Workday strongly preferred.

Salaries are based upon candidate experience, qualifications, and location, as well as market and business considerations. Our pay range for U.S. based candidates for this position is $30-- $40 USD annually. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses and commissions.
