Penn Machine Company, a Marmon/Berkshire Hathaway Company, is a leading manufacturer of products and services for the transit, railroad, mining, oil and gas industries and have a full-time opening at our Johnstown, PA location. We have been part of the community for 100+ years.

Entry level machine shop position with responsibilities including:

Correctly transfer information from the part print or other related documents and stamp parts for identification.Clean, deburr, stamp and carefully handle as not to damage finished product.Polishing of partsSafely operate a forklift without damaging product while moving.Assist and perform labor duties throughout facility including, but not limited to:     

• Move freight, stock, and other materials to and from storage and production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, by hand or using forklifts, or other equipment.
• Removing chips from machines and machine areas
• Painting, cleaning, staining, packaging product
• Assist in our Heat Treat and Shipping departments as needed.

May lead to opportunity to enter our in-house Machinist Trainee program.

Individuals must be willing and able to work weekly rotating shifts--one week 4-10 hour shifts Monday-Thursday on 1st shift then next week 4 - 10 hour shifts Monday-Thursday on 2nd shift. Overtime may be available when needed.
