Bell Person

Position:  Bellman               

Department:  Operations/Bellstand

Primary Responsibilities: (guest interaction, ordering responsibilities, clean up duties, clerical responsibilities, etc.)

·         Smile, greet and welcome guest

·         Load and unload luggage from bell cart

·         Accompany guest to room

·         Explain hotel amenities to guest

Secondary Responsibilities:

·         Answer bellstand telephone

·         Make room deliveries when necessary

·         Obtain transportation for guest

·         Maintain room key control

·         Shoe Shine and pickup/delivery

Normal Working Hours: (Shift, days)

·         40 hours per week

·         Need to be available nights, weekends, and holidays

·         Must be available for overtime when needed

·         Subject to winter lay-off

Past Work Experience Requirements: (Type of work, number of years required, equivalent experience, etc.)

·         Prior hotel experience preferred

Educational Requirements: (Degree/Certification, highest required/preferred, field of study)

·         High School Diploma or G.E.D.

Communication Skills Requirements: (Verbal: phone, in-person, group; Written: memos, documents)

·         Must be able to speak plainly and comfortably to guest

·         Able to speak clearly over the phone

Technical Requirements:  

·          Must be able to learn lay-out of the hotel and location of all amenities

·          Drivers license required
