The Bell Person is responsible being the first and last impression for our guests, centered on delivering exceptional service with warmth and enthusiasm, efficiency, and prompt professional attentive guest services within a high-energy casino environment. This role ensures seamless experience from arrival to departure assisting guests with their luggage working closely with Valet and Front Desk.
ResponsibilitiesHOW YOU WILL CREATE THE EXTRAORDINARY
- Greet, direct and assist all guests.
- Carry a radio to respond to calls from valet and front desk to deliver, retrieve, and store luggage (baggage claim rack) for our guests.
- Inform Guest of approximate time frame for bell service.
- Offer assistance with luggage placement (rack/closet).
- Communicate with guest about how their stay was.
- Frequent writing of luggage tickets.
- Deliver, retrieve and store luggage for our guests.
- Load and unload luggage from vehicles.
- Keep accurate records and record numbers neatly while delivering and retrieving luggage.
- Direct contact with guests requires patience, good communication, and professional manner.
- The Bell Person will also be responsible for storage and retrieval of luggage in the luggage room as assigned by the Bell Captain.
- Other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
- HS diploma or GED.
- Casino/Hotel experience preferred.
- Experience within an upscale hotel preferred.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with co-workers.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally in English.
- Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations.
Wage: $8.63 per hour plus tips
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Normal sense of smell, touch, sound and vision range .
- Requires seldom sitting, kneeling, lifting/carrying of 51-100 lbs.; occasional bending & reaching from floor to 6ft, crouching, lifting/carrying of 25-50 lbs, copying & writing of numbers.
- Eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity as well as the ability to distinguish letters, symbols and currency .
- Copying and writing of numbers.
- Work area is subject to variable temperatures.
