Behavioral Modification Services staff are responsible for implementing behavior modification plans in the Therapeutic Foster Care setting (BMP) in collaboration with the case manager and under the supervision of the SC Foster Care Regional Manager. They work directly with individuals exhibiting challenging behaviors, utilizing evidence-based strategies to promote positive behavioral changes, while assisting the youth with making progress toward treatment goals identified by the foster care team.
Must reside in Florence, SC or Darlington, SC or nearby locations.
Key Responsibilities:
--Implement Behavior Modification Plans: Carry out strategies designed to reduce problematic behaviors and encourage positive alternatives
--Data Collection and Analysis: Monitor and record behavioral data, such as triggers and effective de-escalation strategies, to assess progress and inform adjustments to the behavior modification plan.
--Collaboration: Work closely with the therapeutic foster parents, case manager, DSS worker, therapists, and teachers to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions.
--Training and Support: Provide guidance to caregivers on implementing behavioral strategies and managing challenging behaviors.
--Crisis Management: Respond to behavioral crises following established protocols to ensure safety and de-escalation.
Qualifications--Education: A high school diploma is required; however, candidates with coursework or a associate degree or bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work or a related field would be preferred.
--Experience: Prior experience in behavioral health, education, or a related field is advantageous.
--Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are essential.
