Job Summary:

Beaming Operators create quality beams to send to the Weaving Department.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Keep both the Weaving/Beaming Supervisor and Operation Manager informed of any problems or quality issues, helping to minimize ongoing defects.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Maintain and use basic tools of the job properly: safety glasses, ear plugs, scissors, etc.

Performance Expectations (if applicable):

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Capable of standing on concrete floor throughout shift
  • Walking, stooping and reaching over loom for long periods of time
  • Must be able to withstand working in a busy and hot environment
  • Must be hands-on and have a mechanical aptitude

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must be able to read and write and do basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
  • Computer knowledge or data entry skills are a necessary part of the job.
  • Must be able to operate a lift truck and complete necessary lift truck training.

Other Requirements:

  • Overtime is required on occasion.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.
  • All accidents must be reported immediately.
  • Do daily machine safety checklist
  • Responsible for quality and safety of his/her own output.
