Job Summary:
Beaming Operators create quality beams to send to the Weaving Department.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Keep both the Weaving/Beaming Supervisor and Operation Manager informed of any problems or quality issues, helping to minimize ongoing defects.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Maintain and use basic tools of the job properly: safety glasses, ear plugs, scissors, etc.
Performance Expectations (if applicable):
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Capable of standing on concrete floor throughout shift
- Walking, stooping and reaching over loom for long periods of time
- Must be able to withstand working in a busy and hot environment
- Must be hands-on and have a mechanical aptitude
Experience/Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to read and write and do basic addition, subtraction, division, and multiplication.
- Computer knowledge or data entry skills are a necessary part of the job.
- Must be able to operate a lift truck and complete necessary lift truck training.
Other Requirements:
- Overtime is required on occasion.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- All accidents must be reported immediately.
- Do daily machine safety checklist
- Responsible for quality and safety of his/her own output.
