What are you going to do
Overall, the BCM Coordinator for NN Group will, from within a small team of BCM professionals at NN Group, develop and implement effective business continuity management and minimizing disruptions to NN business operations during a crisis or disaster. For this the BCM Team at NN Group coordinates and supports BCM efforts throughout NN to increase overall resilience of the organization and adherence to (legal) requirements.
As a BC expert, the role acts as a trusted advisor—providing both requested and unsolicited advice—to senior management and Board members on organisational resilience, risk, and recovery strategies. The coordinator proactively identifies vulnerabilities, challenges assumptions, and drives continuous improvement of the resilience of the organisation.
As BCM Coordinator you will, from within NN’s BC Guild, work with a global network of BCM professionals from business units and corporate staff departments. You will actively collaborate with internal business units, corporate departments, and external stakeholders to ensure a coordinated response to any potential threat or disruption.
What are your main responsibilities?
Together with the BC Team of NN Group:
- Coordinate activities necessary to enable NN Group to manage a crisis event as well as meet compliance requirements for NN Group BCM planning
- Support the BC Guild (of BC professionals) and provide guidance and support to ensure effective BCM practices and governance are corporate-wide in place
- Develop and implement toolingand guidelines for exercising, testing and Business Impact Analysis, Business Continuity-, Disaster Recovery-, and Crisis Management plans
- Participate in developing and implementing the NN group wide training program for the Management Board, group Crisis Management Committee and scenario-based Crisis Management Teams and Crisis Managers
- Actively share knowledge and experience with other BCM professionals, supporting them in improving BCM within the organization
- Ensure proper preparation for a Group crisis event, timely and effective crisis response, continuous improvement based on regular testing and exercising, and effective management of a crisis
- Act as one of the NN Group Crisis Coordinators as a focal point for the Group Management Board, Crisis Committee, assigned Crisis Teams and Crisis Managers for disruptive events and crisis impacting NN Group
- Participate in external BCM platforms and keep abreast of industry best practices and trends

Who you are
To be successful in the challenging role offered, the following qualifications and experiences are expected:
- You should have a bachelor’s degree in emergency management, business administration, risk management, or a related field
- You should have a background in either one or more areas like Business Process Management, Business Continuity Management, Crisis Management, Security Management or Business Administration (or comparable)
- You should at least have more than 5 years of professional experience in either business continuity management or crisis management, ideally in the financial services sector
- You have proven education, training and experience in BCM, Crisis Management and preferably also in Program management; certifications like Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Crisis Management Certified Specialist (CMCS) or certification by the Business Continuity Institute (BCI) are preferred
- You can define a strategic vision, and translate it into short and long-term implementation plans (program and roadmap) to further develop BCM capabilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to business continuity management
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English (Company language) and Dutch are mandatory

Who you will work with
As Senior BCM Coordinator for NN Group you will collaborate with all functional business areas in Business Continuity to develop, maintain and evaluate the corporate-wide BCM program (including BCM roadmap) that addresses business continuity, recovery, crisis, and emergency response management.
During Crisis you will work together with global NN top management, Group Corporate Relations and Communications, assigned Crisis Managers and other external stakeholders.

Skills Required
