As a BCM Coordinator at Non-Life, the non-life insurance business of NN Group in The Hague, you support the Business Lines and, together with the BCM Lead, you are the driving force behind the professionalization of our business continuity management (BCM). What you are going to do

We are setting up a central BCM team within Non-Life consisting of a BCM Lead and two BCM Coordinators. In the role of BCM Coordinator, together with the BCM Lead, you form the core of our BCM capability. You are the content expert point of contact for the Business Lines and ensure that continuity is safeguarded in a methodologically strong and consistent way.


Concretely, this means:

  • Supporting Business Lines with C-BIA, C-RA and the preparation and maintenance of BCPs with a well-detailed recovery strategy
  • Safeguarding the quality and consistency of BCM deliverables through shared frameworks, templates and quality assessments
  • Preparing, facilitating and evaluating business continuity and crisis management training sessions and exercises, and actively promoting BCM awareness within the organization
  • Liaising with Technology on disaster recovery of business-critical applications and acting as point of contact for internal and external audits
  • Contributing to management reporting and governance in the area of continuity and operational resilience, in alignment with Group BCM on company-wide topics such as DORA

Who you are

You understand how important continuity is for the resilience of the organization and are able to convince others of this as well, even without hierarchical mandate. You are confident, feel comfortable in a complex environment, and get energy from activating others.


  • Extensive experience as a BCM professional, preferably gained in a financial or similarly regulated environment
  • A solid technical foundation, enabling you to contribute substantively to discussions on IT disaster recovery and application dependencies
  • Proven strength in stakeholder management at different levels, with strong communication and persuasive skills towards senior management, and the ability to operate independently and proactively
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate regulations and standards into workable frameworks and practical tools
  • Certification such as CBCI or CBCM is a strong plus
  • Fluency in Dutch and English

You will interact daily with colleagues from the Business Lines, IT, Risk and Compliance, and you will be connected to the broader NN Global BCM Community. In addition, the team includes specialists in the areas of contract management and business control.
