Core One is seeking a Battle Staff Training Manager to support the program. This position requires an active Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and implementation of the Battle Staff Training Program to coach, mentor, and train Marine Special Operation Company (MSOC), Marine Special Operations Task Forces (SOTF) and Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force (CJSOTF) Commanders and staffs in the art and science of Mission Command.
- Lead planning teams, develop requirements, design training programs, and integrate solutions. The Manager shall also build agendas and associated products in support of MARSOC, Training Readiness Exercises (TRXs) and Company Collective Exercises (CCEs) for simulation integration into the BST program.
- Provide expertise and operational support to joint simulations, scenarios, database management, user training, exercise design, issue coordination/resolution, event tests development, and event execution.
- Provide over-the-shoulder and observer controller/trainer support to the training unit throughout the exercise life cycle (ELC) from the initial planning conference through the final After-Action Review (AAR).
- Shall plan, coordinate, prepare, and conduct battle staff exercises, Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) workshops, command post exercises (CPXs), staff / Tactical Command Post proficiency training, and other supporting events at the Company, Battalion, Regimental level.
- Develop home station training support packages and supporting scenarios that are relevant to the operating environment of the training unit, which must focus on the art and science of mission command.
- Coordinate with stakeholders, planners, and SMEs in all phases of the Initial Planning Conference (IPC), Main Planning Conference (MPC), and Final Planning Conference (FPC).
- May be required to support as a simulation entity controller, simulation controller, simulation operator, and/or simulation database manager within the Joint Exercise Control Group (JECG) Operations during a BST exercise.
Requirements:
- 10-year prior military service.
- Experience in the development of battle staff training and operations.
- Experience serving on the staff of a special operations or combat arms battalion, regiment, or brigade.
- Experience leading Marine Corps Planning Process, Miliary Decision Making Process, or equivalent planning processes.
- Experience with tactical C2 and common operating picture systems.
- Possess a thorough understanding of SOF capabilities, support, and operations.
- Possess an understanding of multi-domain operations.
- Possess a bachelor’s degree.
- Graduate of an armed forces Command and Staff College or equivalent professional military education.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task.
- Must have an active Secret security clearance with TS/SCI Eligibility.
- Possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license.
Preferred additional qualifications:

- Experience working multi-domain and system of systems integration.
- Experience as a military instructor and additional training as a digital master gunner, battle staff operations, simulation operations, or in command post operations.
- Experience with Command Post Computing Environment (CPCE), Command Post of the Future (CPOF), Force Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) Joint Capabilities Release (JCR), Force Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2) Joint Battle Command – Platform (JBC-P), or Tactical Mission Command (TMC) servers.
- Experience conducting training using simulations, such as Virtual Battlespace 3 (VBS3) or VBS4.
