Position Overview:
The purpose of this position is to assist all batchers in/on all positions and or lines in processing. Must also be willing to upgrade skills as necessary.

Key Result Accountabilities
Efficient batching to ensure continuous availability to the production line Adheres to company safety, conduct sanitation, and follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) in all areas of responsibility Follows established batching Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and batching instructions including documentation of key data (lot codes, mixing times, cooking temperatures, etc.) for the processing of consistent, high-quality products Has knowledge on how to operate control panels, forklift, drum hauler, scales, and swing piping for CIP, follow batch ticket, and open drums. Must assemble and take apart mix tank equipment, pumps and mills. Reviews and verifies the proper batches to be produced against the schedule and communicates to the filler operator. Weigh out the necessary ingredients required by formula. Responsible for adhering to all batching procedures. Verify accurate records. Records must be complete and legible for recall purposes including, batch number of raw materials etc... Adhere to batching procedures to ensure batches are consistent in accordance with the spec/batch sheets. Assures that batch errors are kept to a minimum Must know how to operate and perform all individual functions associated with batching such as scales, control panels, valves, piping, pumps. Responsible for training new and existing employees in the proper way of batching on all lines including Mayo, safe operation of pumps, scales, control panels, valves, and proper piping. Responsible for appropriately communicating to the packing area anytime product does not meet Specification for targeted product. Maintain the work area clean and organized. Responsible for set-ups or equipment and pre-batch, pre-mix, pre-assembly and or staging of raw materials. Be involved/contribute in processing improvement projects Perform any and all other duties that may be assigned by Supervisor or Lead.Qualifications

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and power industrial trucks. The employee is frequently exposed to cold, wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Employees will be expected to attend safety training, serve on the facility safety committee and participate in hazard analysis and resolution.
