Batching Technicians will add raw materials to batching tanks and follow written instructions on Batching Production Records (BPR). They will operate equipment to blend and mix products to reach standards set from customers and Research and Development. Batching Technicians will work in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment and follow department Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) under direction from the team lead.
Batching Technician I
Knowledge and understanding of SOP’s pertaining to department
Understanding of GMP conditions with direction of their Senior Compounder
General understanding of Hazardous Communications (HAZCOM)
Accurately adding and documenting raw materials as the witness/checker/helper
Helping monitor times and temperatures of product
Cleaning department equipment as needed
Maintaining cleanliness of batching area
Training to operate hardware on the batching deck
Verifying Materials in BPR
Marking raw materials with designated colors to follow procedures
Do bottoms with assistance of Tech II
Hooking up valves with assistance of Tech II
Drum lifter operation
Transfer of phases with assistance of Tech II
Qualifications
Candidates must have the ability to exhibit proficiency in safety practices. Successful candidates will be able to perform basic math functions, be detail oriented, work well under pressure, and have excellent written and oral communication skills. Attendance and punctuality are extremely important to maintain.
