As Basis of Design (BoD) Leader – EMEA, you will shape project specifications at the earliest design stage and ensure Johnson Controls solutions are embedded as the preferred standard across HVAC, Fire, Security, and Building Management Systems. This is a newly created regional role, offering a unique opportunity to build, shape, and later lead a BoD engineering team, while acting as the key link between consultants, design engineers, and commercial teams to convert early technical influence into a strong, sustainable pipeline across EMEA.
What You Will Lead
Specification Influence & Early Engagement
- Shape project specifications at the Basis of Design (BoD) stage
- Engage consultants and engineering firms to drive spec‑in strategies across HVAC, Fire, Security, and BMS
Team & Capability Building
- Build and lead a regional BoD engineering team
- Establish standard work, playbooks, and best practices
- Position the team as trusted technical advisors
Consultant & Ecosystem Strategy
- Map and prioritise key consultants and design partners
- Build long‑term partnerships and strengthen Johnson Controls’ thought leadership
Commercial Pipeline Creation
- Translate specification wins into a measurable pipeline
- Track spec‑to‑order conversion and support pipeline governance
- Partner with Sales to convert early influence into orders
Product, Process & Digital Enablement
- Strengthen solution differentiation and influence product roadmaps
- Track specification coverage and performance
