Ce sont des personnes sympathiques et serviables qui maîtrisent les recettes des cocktails classiques et font preuve de souplesse si jamais un client ou une cliente souhaite apporter une touche personnelle à sa boisson. Si vous brillez dans des environnements vivants, dynamiques et à rythme accéléré, ce poste est peut-être pour vous!

À ce titre, vos principales responsabilités seront les suivantes :

  • Prendre et exécuter les commandes de boissons, garnir et servir les boissons, encaisser les paiements et utiliser le système de point de vente.
  • Maintenir un espace de travail propre en nettoyant après le départ des clients et clientes, en enlevant les bouteilles vides et les déchets, en remplaçant les fûts de bière vides et en lavant les verres et les ustensiles.
  • Contrôler et maintenir les stocks en faisant l’inventaire du vin, de la bière et des liqueurs, commander des fournitures de bar si nécessaire, et approvisionner le bar en apportant des bouteilles d’alcool, des ingrédients pour les boissons mixtes et d’autres fournitures de la réserve au bar.
  • Maintenir un environnement sûr en vérifiant que les personnes au bar aient l’âge minimal requis pour consommer de l’alcool, en déterminant si une personne a trop bu, en arrêtant de servir une personne qui a trop bu et en veillant à ce qu’elle soit raccompagnée chez elle en toute sécurité, et en refusant de servir une personne qui a trop bu ou même en appelant la police si nécessaire.

Qualifications requises :

  • Vous détenez un diplôme d’études secondaires ou l’équivalent.
  • Vous avez l’âge légal de la majorité ou plus.
  • Vous possédez 1 ou 2 ans d’expérience à titre de barman ou barmaid.
  • Vous êtes en mesure de travailler selon des horaires variables, y compris le jour, le soir, le week-end et les jours fériés.
  • Vous avez suivi un cours de barman ou barmaid (préférablement).
  • Vous possédez une certification Formation Action Service(un atout).
  • Vous connaissez les recettes des cocktails.
  • Vous êtes une personne organisée et savez bien gérer votre temps.
  • Vous avez d’excellentes compétences en communication et en relations interpersonnelles.

The Rec Room’s Bartenders are an integral part of the team who provide an exceptional dining experience to each and every guest. The Bartender prepares alcoholic drinks and pours wine and beer for patrons of restaurants, bars, cocktail lounges, and other places where drinks are served. The Bartender is friendly and helpful, and is an expert with standard drink recipes while being flexible to follow guests’ preferences or recipes. If you thrive in an energetic, fast-paced and social atmosphere, this may be the opportunity for you!

In this role, your responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Taking and filling drink orders, garnishing and serving drinks, collecting payment and operating POS
  • Maintaining a clean work area by cleaning up after guests, removing empty bottles and trash, replacing empty beer kegs and washing glasses and utensils
  • Monitoring and maintaining inventory by keeping track of wines, beers, liquors, and ordering bar supplies when required, and have stocked the bar by bringing liquor bottles, mixed drink ingredients, and other bar supplies from the storeroom to the bar
  • Maintaining a safe environment by checking guests’ identification to ensure they meet the minimum drinking age, determining when a customer has had too much alcohol, stop serving and ensure a safe ride home is arranged, and by refusing service or even calling the police if necessary

Qualifications:

This role may be a perfect fit for you if:

  • You have a High-School Diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent
  • Candidates must be the required age of majority or older
  • You have a minimum of 1-2 years of Bartending experience
  • You can work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Completed Bartending classes preferred
  • Current provincial Smart Serve Certification considered an asset
  • You have knowledge of drink recipes
  • You have demonstrated time management and organizational skills
  • You have excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
