Job Summary:

The Orthopedic Program Coordinator provides clinical and administrative leadership for the Orthopedic Service 
Line Program. The coordinator is responsible for supporting clinical staff and physicians with the management 
of the orthopedic patient population through the continuum of care. The coordinator assists with program 
development, managing the accreditation process and ensuring continuous compliance with the Joint 
Commission Orthopedic certification requirements. This requires maintaining applicable policies and procedures, 
staff education, data collection, quality improvement efforts and patient education.

1. Serves as a clinical leader, change agent, and clinical resource. Assists in the management of patient care needs, operational issues, and resource 
recommendations. 

2. Assumes a leadership role in orthopedic program development in facilitating change to enhance delivery of services and to develop evidence-based 
practice.
3. Analyzes and interprets data that facilitates clinical practice patterns, actively participates in areas for process improvement, and implementation of solutions that positively influence patient outcomes.

4. Participates in clinical research and evidence based practice.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training and Licensures Required:

  • Current KY License in Nursing (RN)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. Master's Degree preferred

  • Two years of job-related experience required

  • Experience in quality/performance improvement systems, statistical processes, or data analysis

  • Must obtain MSN within Three (3) Years

  • Must obtain Orthopedics certification within Two (2) Years
