Position Summary: Mumm Napa is seeking an enthusiastic bar team member who will play an integral part in the hospitality experience by providing bar support in the service and sale of wine to our guests and club members. It requires that our wine is ready to be presented to guests in its peak form, showcasing the best characteristics of our sparkling wine
This full-time position is a great introduction to the wine industry. This is a fast-paced role helping to run the bar, re-stock inventory, and keep the bar organized to support an efficient flow of service to guests. General support for the Visitor Center staff is an integral part of the position. Must be able to remain calm under pressure and be able to multitask. Weekends are required.
Essential Functions
50% Inventory Restock:
• Ensures wine and non-wine items are organized and sufficiently stocked in the Mumm Napa wine shop, the VC bar, wine storage, and tax paid
• Operates forklift to move wine and non-wine items to appropriate inventory locations for the needs of the business
• Receives wine deliveries, and accurately document wine transfers between various VC inventory locations
• Conducts bi-weekly dry goods inventory for the purpose of reordering
• Conducts weekly count of wine inventory for ordering purposes
• Strategically utilizes storage for inventories due to limited space on property
50% Bar:
• Maintains bar inventory sheets, and ensures they are up to date
• Monitors and organizes bar refrigerators, rotating the appropriate SKUs for tastings and keeping them stocked for service
• Sustains bar cleanliness (sanitizing, de-lime dishwasher, etc.)
• Routinely stocks necessary bar and service items
• Buffs glassware
• Busses tables
• Some food handling
• General support duties as requested
Minimum Qualifications
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Highly organized, accurate and detail oriented
• Ability to calculate
• Flexible schedule including weekends, some holidays and evenings, as necessary
• Forklift Certified (upon hire?)
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift heavy boxes (40-50 lbs) on a repeated basis
• Position entails excessive standing and walking, and considerable bending
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of wine and wine production
• Bilingual
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay scale offered for this position is $37,000 - $45,000 per year. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. The Company reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
